Delivery Van Owner Operator

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Van Owner Operator to join our team. This role involves operating a cargo van to deliver goods efficiently and safely to various locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, experience with route driving, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting and moving. As an owner operator, you will be responsible for managing your own vehicle while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining excellent service standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a cargo van vehicle for daily delivery routes
• Load and unload packages using equipment or manual handling techniques
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods to clients across assigned routes
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Manage route schedules efficiently to meet delivery deadlines
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
• Handle heavy lifting and moving tasks as required during deliveries

Experience

• Prior delivery driver experience, especially with courier or route driving roles
• Experience operating commercial vehicles with manual transmission
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, forklift operation, and pallet jacks is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
• Proven ability to load, unload, and handle heavy items safely and efficiently
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience in heavy lifting, moving, and physical labor preferred
