They also advocate in support of under-resourced communities and against predatory lending practices.
Our National Training and Development team is looking for an intern to support the development of a comprehensive training program.

WHAT You’ll Do
- Design a complete 8-day new-hire training program that equips incoming staff with the foundational knowledge, skills, and resources needed to confidently perform in their roles. This includes analyzing current workflows, creating a structured curriculum, and developing facilitator guides, learner materials, job aids, and assessments.
- The intern will assist in the creation of a comprehensive consumer lending training program that strengthens staff expertise in lending fundamentals.
- Conduct learner and subject matter expert interviews to identify training gaps and workflow challenges across branches and lending operations.
- Design and develop high-impact training materials—including facilitator guides, learner workbooks, job aids, and assessments.
- Pilot training modules with trainers and collect feedback to refine content, ensuring the programs are accurate, accessible, and aligned with Self-Help’s mission.
- Undergraduate or graduate student, recent graduates welcome to apply
