What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Habilitation Worker position at self-Direction Community Habilitation Staff?
Looking for Community Habilitation support staff in the Greece, NY area.
Community Habilitation is a service through the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities that provides support and education to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
We are looking for someone available Monday through Friday at 6:45am-2:45pm
A qualified candidate would have:
-A minimum of 1-2 years experience working with children and/or adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
-Be willing and able to be hired by a local human services agency
-A clear driving record
-A minimum of a High School Diploma
Responsibilities and Duties
-Providing supervision and support to an disabled adult during the day.
-Ensuring individual safeguards are met for the person being supported
-providing training and education on activities of daily living such as household chores, personal care, safety in the community, etc
-Providing transportation and support to and from various locations in the Rochester area
Qualifications and Skills
-1-2 years experience providing direct support to adults or children with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- driver's license
- High School Diploma
Required experience:
- human services: 1 year
Required education: High school or equivalent
Required license or certification: Driver's License
