Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and motivated Independent Living Skills Specialist program to join our team. The position requires about 75% travel within the Simi Valley/Filmore area. (with one day in Santa Barbara area).
Responsibilities:
- Collect and document data related to client needs and progress
- Assist clients with daily living activities in the home and out in the community.
- Work on individual service plan goals with the client in their home and in the Community.
- Will be assisting clients with grocery shopping, cooking, find a job, medical appointments, etc
- Drive to client locations to provide services
Experience:
- Previous experience in disability services.
- Knowledge of data collection methods and documentation
- Familiarity with Regional Centers and Department of Developmental Services (DDS)
- Experience working with Adults with Developmental Disabilities.
- Understanding of title 17 & title 22; Clients Rights
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
This position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to providing quality care and support to clients. The ability to collect data, and assist with daily living activities is essential. A valid driver's license is also required for this role.
