Caregiver for Special Needs (Full-Time Evenings or Part-Time Weekends)

Full-Time -**We are looking for a female caregiver because the client's privacy concerns, disability needs & behavioral issues**

Korean food preparation or Mexican food preparation required.

Caregiver for special needs adult with non-verbal autism and epilepsy some challenging behaviors (occasional aggression).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THIS POSITION INCLUDE:

1) Strict Attendance Policy due to the nature of the client's medical and behavioral safety concerns.

2) Medication Management - due to medical and behavioral health & safety concerns.

3) Eyes on Supervision of the client due to medical and behavioral safety concerns.

4) Ability to use a smartphone and use our Sling App specifically for Client Documentation and Communication for the safety concerns of the client and the staff members.

This position will be doing some of these things:

1) Will be typically working with a team of 2
2) Eyes on supervision of client - interacting with client by participating with activities.
3) Seizure first aid ready
4) Observe client to make sure client is safe.
5) Preparation of food/meals.
6) Will be required to assist with personal hygiene. (Includes cleaning of urine/feces thoroughly and keeping client clean throughout the shift)
7) Attending to seizures and other medical situations (emergencies) when they present themselves.
8) Follow client wherever client walks within the home for eyes on supervision.

9) Accompany client on recreational/medical community outings. Keeping the client safe throughout the entire outing.
10) Journal entry - documenting events that may occur overnight. (Smartphone is required for this position)

This position will require some overtime during unforeseen circumstances.

This position will require caregiver to be able to work 1:1 alone with the client

Ability to pass a background Live Scan check FBI/DOJ
This position will require the ability to lift 40 lbs on a regular basis.

This position will require the ability to be active with your hands, performing repetitive motions.
This position will require the ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.
This position will require the ability to bend/reach for things.

**Position is for someone who is reliable/punctual**. This is an essential duty of the position.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
