We are a computer consulting firm that focuses on supporting small businesses. We are a small firm who service the entire Bay Area. We are our client’s IT department. Their employees call us for all help and we advise our clients on how to best spend their technology budgets.
Our office is located in the East Bay. Our goal is to deliver localized support to all of our clients with a focus on person-to-person relationships coupled with strong centralized support.
We are currently looking for an Entry Level or Experienced IT Consultant.
IT Consultant - Entry/Experienced Level (Full Time) Position Information
Duties:
Provide onsite and remote support for clients.
Communicate with clients at all levels of technical knowledge
Check to ensure that client’s backup and critical updates are current.
Assist in identifying the hardware and software needed to provide solutions to problems.
Provide support for a range of Small Business IT needs.
Become familiar with available help resources.
Document all work performed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Skills and understanding of running Cat6 line runs and general low voltage
Experience with Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems.
Mac and Linux knowledge a plus.
Excellent technical and customer service skills.
Clean driving record and a valid California Drivers License required.
Ability to maintain confidentiality is a must.
May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
Duties may require use of power drills and other tools.
Duties may require standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
Flexible schedule for working remotely.
Overall team player.
Must be able to travel to clients in the Bay Area. (Shared Company vehicle available or mileage reimbursement)
Position requires flexibility. Typical work hours are 9:30 – 6:30 on weekdays. Must be available for on-call and weekend hours as well every 7-10 weeks
