Engineering Technician III

The Engineering Technician III - General Maintenance Worker/Procurement Management:

Performs work order management and/ or technical instruction management used for parts ordering and tracking; able to accomplish tasks with little to no direct oversight.

• Research materials, execute required paperwork/data entry to fulfill the contractor and government processes, execute purchase with required vendors and track until receipt. Additionally, they will use various databases to enter, requisition orders, ensure proper documentation of work accomplished and timely closure. Must be skilled and efficient in work order cost analysis, initiating and authorizing Purchase Orders and have excellent communication skills.

Performs assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed, recommends or adapts standard procedures or equipment, using fully applicable precedents, receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed, performs recurring work independently. Work is reviewed for technical adequacy or conformity with instructions. This technician performs at this level one or a combination of such typical duties as:

• Constructing components, subunits, or simple models or adapts standard equipment; may troubleshoot and correct malfunctions.
• Modifies facility space layouts. This includes installing, relocating or assembling modular furniture, white boards, desks and cabinets.
• Performs scheduled, preventive and routine maintenance on equipment according to regulations set in manufactures manual. Example of this type of work would be adjusting belts, changing worn-out components, oil, filter(s), and gaskets. Performs cleaning as needed to ensure professional appearance and longevity of the system(s) and its components.
• Provides various types of maintenance (i.e. Routine maintenance, Priority maintenance, Emergency maintenance, Ancillary Repair and Alteration).
• Follows schematics, layout instructions or technical diagrams to construct, package or assemble simple devices, tools, equipment or subunits of equipment.
• Performs preoperational inspections of equipment and vehicles before use. When required the contractor shall also perform operator's maintenance and deliver its assigned government-furnished vehicles to the base vehicle maintenance facility for required maintenance. The contractor shall be responsible for repair costs which are caused by accident damage, vehicle abuse or other damage beyond fair wear and tear.

Requirements:

• Due to Federal Contracting requirements, applicant must be a US Citizen.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• High School Diploma
