SelectOne is partnering with a long-standing Western NY food manufacturer with over 100 years of history in the Buffalo market to hire a Production / Operations Lead for its USDA-inspected meat processing facility.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily production, managing employees, and improving operational efficiency. The company is looking for someone who enjoys being on the production floor, leads by example, and can take on expanded plant leadership responsibilities as the business grows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily meat processing, packaging, and production operations
- Lead, train, and supervise hourly production employees
- Coordinate production schedules, workflow, and inventory
- Maintain USDA, HACCP, sanitation, and food safety standards
- Monitor yields, waste, labor efficiency, and production performance
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, equipment, and workflow
- Work closely with ownership to support operational improvements and growth
Qualifications:
- Experience in food manufacturing, ideally meat or protein processing
- Previous supervisory or production team leadership experience
- Familiarity with USDA regulations, HACCP, and food safety requirements
- Understanding of production efficiency, yields, and waste reduction
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with manufacturing equipment
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to maintain accountability on the production floor
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
