Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance operations within production and packaging areas, ensuring optimal equipment performance and plant efficiency. This role coordinates maintenance personnel and activities across manufacturing, warehouse, office, and facility grounds while supporting overall plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily maintenance operations for production and packaging equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Develop, implement, and manage preventative maintenance programs for all plant systems and equipment.
- Coordinate and supervise maintenance staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Partner with plant leadership to establish and support operational goals, policies, and procedures.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend solutions, process improvements, or system upgrades.
- Evaluate equipment, tools, and maintenance practices to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and control costs.
- Manage maintenance-related projects, including contractor coordination, budgeting, and reporting.
- Monitor and analyze maintenance spending, ensuring proper documentation and cost justification.
- Plan and allocate manpower in alignment with production needs while optimizing labor costs.
- Foster a positive team environment by promoting strong employee relations and open communication.
- Develop and implement metrics to measure maintenance performance and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with engineering and plant leadership on troubleshooting, system improvements, and re-engineering efforts.
- Communicate maintenance issues, updates, and risks to leadership in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Technical degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.
- Experience in food manufacturing or a similar production environment preferred.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills with knowledge of industrial equipment and systems.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage maintenance operations effectively.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage scope, timelines, and budgets.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with computer systems and maintenance-related software.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Technical or Engineering degree preferred.
- Relevant maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
