PLC Technician

Job Description
Selectek is partnering with a company located near Spencer, Massachusetts to fill a PLC Technician role to assist in designing, building and commissioning automated machinery and associated control panels.
Employment Type: Contract to Direct Hire
Expected Pay Range: $35 - $55 per hour before conversion, depending on certification and experience

Job Requirements:

• Working knowledge of PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens), or BSEE, and/or combination of education and work experience.
• Team player who can work effectively in team environment
• Self-starter who work independently with minimal direction
• Strong analytical skills and proven problem solver in both team and independent environments
• Computer competency

In addition to these requirements, candidates must hold United States citizenship, per the client's request. Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.

Job Details:

• Position will require assisting machine design
• Developing electrical documentation
• Implements, tests and supports software applications for PLC platforms
• HMI and PLC development based on machine specification.
• Participate in the testing process through test review/performance/analysis and certification of software.
• Perform software maintenance on existing test fixtures.
• Develop training manuals as-needed.
• Machinery assembly: Will require assisting in the assembly of proprietary equipment, occasional travel to customer site to assist in the install/service of our products.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00a-5:00p expected. This role requires some infrequent local travel.

Salary : $35 - $55
