Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Athletic Trainer to join our team! In this vital role, you will provide expert athlete care, injury prevention, and rehabilitation services. Duties
- Assess athletes’ physical condition and develop tailored treatment plans for injury prevention and recovery
- Implement sports rehabilitation therapy techniques to facilitate optimal healing of musculoskeletal injuries
- Provide emergency care, including first aid and CPR, during training sessions or competitions
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as physicians, physical therapists, and nutritionists to coordinate comprehensive athlete care
- Educate athletes on body mechanics, nutrition, injury prevention protocols, and proper training techniques
- Maintain accurate records using EMR/EHR systems to track patient progress and treatment outcomes
- Conduct health coaching sessions to motivate clients toward healthier lifestyles and improved performance
Requirements
- Proven experience working with athletes or in sports medicine settings
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, sports rehabilitation therapy, and medical terminology
- Certification in first aid and basic life support (BLS) is required; additional certifications in emergency care are preferred
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR documentation systems for maintaining detailed patient records
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to assess body mechanics and implement effective injury prevention strategies
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with healthcare regulations
