As a Chief Operating Officer, you are a part of Select Medical’s Administrator In-Training program. The program is designed to provide a hands-on understanding of a CEO’s role and responsibilities within the hospital and overall organization. It also educates candidates on a CEO’s goals and objectives and key relationships that need to be forged and developed in order to be become an effective, high-performing hospital CEO.
The year-long program covers four key areas: orientation, enculturation, administrative onboarding and support. During that time, candidates will be immersed in training across a range of areas, including:

Minimum Requirements
- A Master's Degree
- Three (3) years managerial experience in a healthcare institution.
- Specific management functions of finance, strategic planning, and community education of health programs.
- Operational leadership experience in an acute care or specialty hospital setting.
