Position Details
- Location: Clinton Township, MI 48038
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Shift: 10:30 PM – 9:00 AM
- Work Schedule: 4 days per week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend is required.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing and analysis in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
- Conduct hematology testing, including analyzing blood samples and reviewing test results for accuracy.
- Collect, prepare, and process laboratory specimens for diagnostic testing.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Review and validate test results, identifying abnormal findings and reporting critical values according to laboratory protocols.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
- Follow laboratory safety procedures, infection control guidelines, and quality control standards.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare providers to support timely and accurate patient diagnosis.
Required Qualifications
- Current BLS certification required.
- Hematology experience is mandatory.
- Relevant education and qualifications in medical laboratory technology.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures, specimen handling, and quality control.
- Ability to work overnight shifts and every other weekend.
