RESCUE TECHNICIAN
Job Summary:
The primary function of the Rescue Technician is to assist the client with the proper uses of safety equipment listed within Select Safety’s inventories. Some job responsibilities will include rigging up of safety equipment, general gas monitoring functions, and confined space attendant duties. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Acknowledge safety responsibilities, defined by the principal contractor and regulatory agencies prior to commencing work on the project
- Verify the content of safe work permits in relation to project work, as directed by the principal contractors or facilities project site representative. Work permits shall be authorized by the principal contractor’s site representative
- Hazard Awareness and Communications
- Use of personal protective equipment, Restricted areas
- Ability to assist in writing pre-plans and promote safe job performance while monitoring project activities
- Inspect and maintain safety equipment supplied to the project
- Monitor areas for hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions
- Perform confined space attendant function where required
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation
- Maintain records as requested by the principal contractor’s site representative
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Overnight shift
- Weekends as needed
