The Sales Account Manager is responsible for growing and maintaining customer relationships — from the first call to ongoing service management. This role combines sales outreach, customer onboarding, and operational oversight to ensure every account receives consistent, quality service.
Sales & Lead Management
- Proven experience in sales, customer service, or account management (janitorial or facilities industry preferred).
- Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and work independently.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally for customer visits and site inspections.
Sales & Lead Management
- Contact incoming leads through calls, emails, and follow-ups.
- Schedule appointments for quotes and on-site walkthroughs with prospective customers.
- Prepare and present service proposals to close new accounts.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Manage the onboarding process for new clients.
- Hire, assign, and train cleaners for each new account.
- Conduct walkthroughs with staff to review the scope of work and cleaning standards.
- Ensure smooth account launches and continuity of service.
- Perform weekly quality audits on customer sites and document findings.
- Email audit reports and updates to customers promptly.
- Address and resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.
- Serve as a backup cleaner when assigned staff are absent to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Maintain strong communication with customers, team members, and leadership.
- Identify and resolve issues independently; escalate when necessary.
- Proactively suggest service improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
