Position: Patient Service Specialist
Location: Pasco & Pinellas County Florida
Type of Employment: Full-time
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 10:00am-7:00pm; Friday 7:00am-4:00pm
Compensation: $16.00-$17.00 Pending Experience
Looking for a Front desk role with the nations largest Physical Therapy provider? The position involves scheduling of patients, copay collections and verification of benefits. No experience necessary, training and mentor ship are provided.
When patients enter our outpatient physical therapy centers in Pinellas County, we want them to have an exceptional experience - starting at the front desk. That’s where you come in. As a patient service specialist, you’ll manage both the patient side and business side of our center. Don’t underestimate the impact you can make on every patient’s care experience, even before they leave the waiting room.
This position is a float position. 2-3 days will be worked at our center in North Palm Harbor. Candidates must be open to floating within an established geographical region within Pasco & Pinellas County the other days of the week.
This position will require a 1-2 hour job shadow after a phone interview.

- Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
- Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
- Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders and business development team
- Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 Year Front Desk Experience
- Insurance Verification Experience
- 1 Year Medical Office Experience
