We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic excavation team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to support excavation projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision on-site. Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, skid steers and other machinery safely and efficiently across multiple construction sites.
- Manage the operation of specialized vehicles including concrete mixers, front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tanker trucks to transport materials and assist in site preparation.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on all machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
- Assist with site preparation activities such as grading, excavation, trenching, and material handling to support construction workflows.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to execute tasks according to project specifications and safety protocols.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations diligently while operating equipment in diverse environmental conditions.
- Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and operational issues for accountability and compliance purposes.
- Knows how to use lasers
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment on commercial or industrial sites.
- Mechanical knowledge sufficient to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform routine maintenance.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL A) with experience driving large vehicles such as front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks.
- Familiarity with construction site safety standards and practices.
- Hands-on experience with various machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of construction materials.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards. Pay: From $30.00 per hour
