Job Summary

SES is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist / Supply Chain Manager to oversee procurement, supplier management, and supply chain operations supporting government and commercial programs. This individual will be responsible for developing strategic sourcing initiatives, managing supplier relationships, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvements throughout the procurement lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain management, logistics, government contracting, and/or related business operations. Strong organizational, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills are essential.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies supporting company and program objectives.
  • Source a wide variety of goods and services including electronic components, fabricated parts, equipment, tooling, and specialized services.
  • Develop Statements of Work (SOWs), subcontract specifications, and procurement documentation.
  • Prepare Requests for Quote (RFQs) and evaluate supplier proposals, pricing, delivery schedules, and contractual terms.
  • Issue purchase orders and administer supplier contracts through completion.
  • Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, quality metrics, and corrective actions.
  • Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships while expanding and qualifying new suppliers.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with FAR, DFARS, AS9100 quality requirements, import/export regulations, and company policies.
  • Partner with Program Managers and Engineering teams to forecast material requirements and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Analyze cost trends, inventory levels, and procurement metrics to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead supplier business reviews and negotiate supplier terms and conditions.
  • Support audits and maintain procurement records in accordance with government and quality management requirements.
  • Review supplier invoices and approve payments as required.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across procurement and supply chain processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible procurement and supply chain experience.
  • Experience purchasing technical products, manufacturing materials, and subcontracted services.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and procurement software.
  • Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working within AS9100 or ISO quality management systems preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense programs.
  • Experience with supplier development and strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or equivalent certification.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
