Position Summary
The Tower Crane Bare Rental Sales Specialist is responsible for driving all bare rental tower crane revenue across the United States for Select Equipment Enterprises. This role focuses exclusively on rental opportunities; sourcing projects, securing contracts, and managing customer relationships from initial inquiry through contract execution.
The Specialist will expand SEE’s footprint in high-rise, infrastructure, commercial development, and industrial construction by promoting SEE’s tower crane rental fleet (hammerhead, luffing, flat-top, and self-erecting). This is a high-visibility, high-impact role requiring both technical knowledge and strong field-based relationship building.
Key Responsibilities
Bare Rental Sales & Pipeline Growth
• Lead all tower crane bare rental sales activities nationally, with concentration in NJ/NY and East Coast markets.
• Identify rental opportunities with general contractors, developers, steel erectors, and crane rental companies.
• Build and manage a robust rental pipeline that supports fleet utilization targets and revenue goals.
• Prepare and present rental quotes, project budgets, and contract terms aligned with SEE pricing standards.
• Conduct jobsite visits to evaluate access, crane location, erection/dismantle requirements, and tower configuration.
Customer Development & Relationship Management
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all bare rental tower crane clients.
• Maintain strong recurring relationships with construction managers, superintendents, project executives, and procurement teams.
• Provide ongoing customer support throughout the rental lifecycle—including scheduling, extension requests, and change orders.
• Represent SEE professionally at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
Technical & Operational Coordination
• Collaborate with internal operations teams to coordinate crane delivery, erection/dismantle, climbing, and logistics.
• Monitor fleet availability and work with operations to forecast future rental needs and procurement priorities.
Deal Management & Commercial Execution
• Negotiate bare rental rates, duration, mobilization costs, and contract terms.
• Work with the legal/contracts team to finalize rental agreements with proper risk protections.
• Track all opportunities, quotes, and customer communication in HubSpot.
• Ensure all rental contracts meet margin expectations, utilization goals, and enterprise risk standards.
Qualifications & Experience
• 3–7 years of experience in tower crane rentals, heavy equipment rentals, or related construction equipment roles.
• Strong understanding of tower cranes (hammerhead, luffer, flat-top, self-erecting) and jobsite logistics.
• Demonstrated success in rental sales or project-driven commercial roles.
• Ability to read job plans, site drawings, and basic lift diagrams.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and customer-facing skills.
• Comfortable traveling 30–50% nationally.
• CRM experience required; HubSpot preferred.
