What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Leader position at SelecSource?
The Operations Leader is responsible for planning, directing, organizing, and controlling the day-to-day operation of our manufacturing facility and warehouse, which includes but is not limited to shipping/receiving, supply chain management, packaging, order processing, and inventory control. This role reports to the Director of Operations.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee and optimize the production process to meet quality and efficiency standards.
Ensure production schedules are met and adjust staffing as needed.
Collaborate with Production Lead to maintain a safe and productive working environment.
Maintain rigorous quality control measures to ensure products meet company standards and meet customer expectations.
Conduct regular inspections of finished products to identify and address quality issues promptly.
Manage inventory levels and stock, ensuring materials and supplies are readily available for production.
Collaborate with the Supply Chain Leader to maintain optimal stock levels and procurement.
Lead and mentor the Production and Office team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
Hire, train, and evaluate team members as needed, ensuring they are well-equipped to perform their roles.
Identify and implement operational efficiencies to reduce costs and improve productivity.
Monitor and assess operational KPIs, implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Ensure all team members are trained in safety procedures and adhere to them.
Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate operational performance and efficiency.
Provide insights and recommendations for strategic improvements.
Complete tasks that may be assigned by the Director of Operations.

Education, Training, Experience Requirements

Proven experience in operational management, preferably in a similar industry.
Demonstrated success in optimizing operational processes and achieving efficiency.
Familiarity with custom framing or art-related industries is advantageous.
Additionally, the ideal candidate must meet the following requirements:

must have a strong manufacturing background. Printing experience is a major bonus
must be comfortable working with his hands, as this is a hands on role rather than an office based position.
needs to be great with people, able to build trust, and must genuinely care for his team.
The candidate must have strong Spanish speaking skills, both written and verbal, and must be located between Duluth and Gainsville.
