SelecSource is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to support production and facility operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and automated equipment to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
Position Summary:
The Electrical Maintenance Technician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical, control, and automation systems for production equipment. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, improving system performance, and ensuring all work is performed in compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including motors, control panels, PLCs, sensors, and automated equipment
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on electrical and control systems
- Diagnose equipment issues using electrical testing devices and schematics
- Install, maintain, and repair wiring, circuits, and electrical components
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Support and maintain conveyors, production lines, and automated machinery
- Minimize downtime by responding quickly to equipment failures and electrical faults
- Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper operation and safety compliance
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and documentation
- Collaborate with production teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards, GMPs, and electrical codes
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in industrial electrical maintenance (manufacturing environment preferred)
- Knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, and automated systems strongly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience using electrical testing equipment (multimeters, etc.)
- Basic mechanical knowledge (conveyors, motors, etc.) is a plus
- Ability to lift, stand, and work in a physical environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or on a team
- Dependable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented
Qualifications:
- Trade school, vocational training, or certification in electrical, industrial maintenance, or related field preferred
- Associate’s degree in electrical or engineering field (a plus)
- Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience required (industrial preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
