Lot Attendant / Groundskeeper

Position Summary

The Lot Attendant / Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, organization, and cleanliness of the dealership’s exterior grounds and vehicle inventory. This role ensures the lot is customer-ready at all times by keeping vehicles properly staged, clean, fueled, and accessible, while also maintaining landscaping and general property upkeep.

Key ResponsibilitiesGrounds & Property Maintenance

• Cut grass and maintain all landscaped areas on dealership property
• Perform routine weeding, edging, and pruning of bushes and shrubs
• Keep sidewalks, curbs, and parking areas clean and free of debris
• Pick up trash throughout the property and empty all exterior trash receptacles
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance of the dealership grounds at all times

Lot Organization & Vehicle Management

• Organize vehicle inventory on the lot according to dealership standards
• Ensure proper spacing, alignment, and presentation of all vehicles
• Move vehicles safely and efficiently to support sales and service operations
• Assist with setting up displays, promotional areas, and special events

Vehicle Preparation

• Gas all new and pre-owned vehicles as needed
• Prepare vehicles for sale, including:
• Basic cleaning (interior/exterior touch-ups)
• Removing protective coverings
• Ensuring vehicles are front-line ready
• Stock in new and pre-owned vehicles into inventory upon arrival
• Verify vehicles are properly tagged, merchandised, and ready for customer viewing

General Duties

• Assist with snow removal or weather-related clean-up as needed
• Maintain equipment used for groundskeeping (mowers, trimmers, etc.)
• Follow all safety procedures and dealership policies
• Support team members and assist with additional tasks as requested

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to operate manual and automatic vehicles
• Experience with landscaping or grounds maintenance preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods
• Frequent movement of vehicles and equipment

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
