Position Overview:
The VP of Accounting will be a key partner to senior leadership, responsible for overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls across the organization. This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader who enjoys building scalable processes, managing teams, and operating in a fast‑paced environment with multiple workstreams. You will lead day‑to‑day accounting activities while helping evolve the function to support growth, complexity, and long‑term strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, close processes, and financial reporting
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accuracy and timeliness
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal policies, and controls
- Manage and develop a growing accounting team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement
- Partner closely with senior leadership on financial insights, reporting, and decision support
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and third‑party service providers
- Drive process improvements, system optimization, and documentation efforts across the accounting function
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
- 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility
- Background in complex, multi‑entity environments is highly valued
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting best practices
- Experience building or scaling accounting processes and teams
- Hands‑on, detail‑oriented leader who can operate at both strategic and execution levels
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner cross‑functionally
