Position Overview

Our client is a growing, well-capitalized wealth management / RIA platform seeking a Vice President of Corporate Development to play a key role in driving its inorganic growth strategy. This individual will work directly with the Head of Corporate Development and be instrumental in building and executing the firm's acquisition pipeline.

Our client is looking for a highly motivated professional with deep experience in the RIA and wealth management sector, including a demonstrated track record of sourcing, evaluating, and executing transactions. This role offers significant visibility with senior leadership and the opportunity to meaningfully shape the firm's long-term growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities



Deal Sourcing & Origination

  • Proactively source acquisition opportunities across registered investment advisors (RIAs), wealth managers, and adjacent financial services firms
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline through direct outreach, industry relationships, and partnerships with intermediaries
  • Develop and manage relationships with founders, advisors, and key stakeholders across the RIA ecosystem

Transaction Execution

  • Lead end-to-end transaction execution, including financial modeling, valuation analysis, structuring, negotiation, and closing
  • Coordinate diligence processes across internal teams (legal, compliance, finance, operations) and external advisors
  • Prepare investment committee materials, presentations, and transaction memoranda

Strategic Analysis

  • Evaluate potential acquisitions against strategic priorities, including cultural fit, financial returns, and growth potential
  • Conduct detailed market research, industry analysis, and competitive benchmarking within the wealth management space
  • Support refinement of acquisition strategy and development of target profiles

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Head of Corporate Development to prioritize opportunities and drive execution
  • Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to support integration planning and value creation initiatives
  • Assist with post-close tracking and performance evaluation of completed transactions

Relationship & Ecosystem Development

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with investment banks, brokers, consultants, and other intermediaries
  • Represent our client at industry conferences and networking events to enhance market presence and sourcing reach

Qualifications & Experience

  • 4-10 years of relevant experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or M&A advisory
  • Direct experience in the wealth management / RIA sector is required, including sourcing and executing acquisitions
  • Proven ability to lead transactions from origination through closing
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities
  • Deep understanding of RIA economics, operational models, and key value drivers
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills
  • High degree of professionalism and executive presence

  • Experience working with founder-led businesses and navigating founder transitions
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong commercial judgment and strategic thinking

Salary : $150,000 - $175,000
