A growing financial services organization is seeking an Operations & Business Transformation Manager to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives focused on operational excellence, technology modernization, and process improvement.
This role sits at the intersection of business, operations, risk, and technology and is ideal for someone who enjoys driving projects from strategy through execution. The team supports mission-critical functions across a fast-paced financial environment and is focused on improving scalability, automation, controls, and operational effectiveness across the organization.
- Lead multiple concurrent transformation, implementation, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Manage project plans, timelines, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communications.
- Partner with business, technology, operations, and risk teams to drive successful project execution.
- Support system implementations, platform migrations, process redesign efforts, and technology modernization programs.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure alignment across competing priorities.
- Translate complex business requirements into executable project plans and measurable outcomes.
- Provide regular updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Identify process inefficiencies and drive initiatives that improve scalability, operational effectiveness, and risk management.
We're particularly interested in candidates who have:
- 8-15 years of professional experience.
- A consulting background supporting financial services clients.
- Experience within banking, payments, treasury, capital markets, investment operations, trade operations, financial services technology, or operational risk environments.
- Led large-scale implementations, transformation programs, or operational improvement initiatives.
- Experience managing multiple workstreams simultaneously in fast-paced environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence both business and technology teams.
- A hands-on, execution-focused approach rather than a PMO or governance-only background.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and driving initiatives from planning through implementation.
- Financial services transformation projects.
- Technology modernization or platform migration initiatives.
- Process improvement and operating model redesign efforts.
- Payments, treasury, banking operations, or operational risk programs.
- Agile delivery environments.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar platforms.
The ideal candidate enjoys being close to the work, solving problems, coordinating stakeholders, and driving execution. This is not a strategy-only or reporting-focused role. Success in this position comes from leading projects through implementation, managing multiple priorities at once, and delivering measurable business outcomes.
Candidates coming from financial services consulting, banking transformation, payments modernization, treasury initiatives, operational risk programs, or technology implementation environments will be particularly well-aligned. The environment is collaborative, fast-paced, and best suited for individuals who enjoy taking ownership and partnering closely with senior stakeholders to solve complex operational challenges.
