We are partnering with a top-tier Options Market Maker known for its cutting-edge technology, innovation, and market leadership. As part of a major technology transformation, the firm is launching a global data enablement initiative and is seeking a Lead Data Engineer / Senior Data Architect to drive the vision, architecture, and execution of this effort.
This is a high-impact leadership role focused on designing and delivering a modern, scalable data platform built on Databricks. You will collaborate directly with senior business stakeholders to define data strategy, architect enterprise-level solutions, and lead a team of data engineers to execute against a global roadmap.
What you will do:
- Lead the design and development of a global data platform leveraging Databricks and modern data stack technologies
- Partner with business leaders to understand data needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions
- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, ensuring high-quality execution and delivery
- Establish best practices for data engineering, data modeling, and platform performance
- Oversee large-scale system implementations and contribute to broader technology modernization efforts
Who you are:
- Extensive experience in data engineering and/or data architecture roles
- Proven track record designing and building large-scale data platforms
- Strong experience with Databricks, Spark, and datalake architectures
- Experience working in low-latency, high-performance environments
- Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on technical levels
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- B.S./M.S. in Computer Science
