Investment Banking Associate - Industrials

Location: Chicago or Minneapolis

An established, well‑regarded investment banking platform is seeking to hire a Senior Analyst or Associate to join its Industrials Investment Banking group. This team advises middle‑market and upper‑middle‑market clients, primarily on M&A transactions, and is known for strong deal flow, collaborative execution teams, and long‑term career development.

This is an excellent opportunity for a lateral banker looking to deepen sector expertise within Industrials while gaining broad transaction exposure and direct interaction with senior bankers and clients.

• Support execution of M&A and capital markets transactions, primarily within the Industrials sector
• Build and maintain detailed financial models including three‑statement models, valuation analyses, and transaction support models
• Prepare client-facing materials such as pitchbooks, confidential information memoranda (CIMs), management presentations, and board materials
• Conduct industry, market, and company-specific research and analysis
• Coordinate due diligence processes and workstreams across internal and external parties
• Collaborate closely with senior bankers, clients, private equity sponsors, and counterparties
  
  

• Senior Analyst: ~2.5 years of prior investment banking experience
• Associate: ~3-5 years of investment banking experience (post‑undergrad or post‑MBA)
• Experience at a reputable investment banking platform with strong transaction exposure
• Industrials coverage experience is preferred but not required for strong generalists
• Strong technical foundation in accounting, finance, and valuation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment

• Lean teams with meaningful responsibility at the Senior Analyst and Associate levels
