What are the responsibilities and job description for the Internal Wholesaler position at Selby Jennings?
We are partnered with a leading credit-focused asset manager based in New York City that is seeking an Internal Wholesaler to support its Investor Relations team. This individual will play a key role on the Private Wealth team and will contribute directly to accelerating growth and fundraising for the firm's interval fund.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the sales process through prospecting, appointment setting, trip planning, and developing regional sales campaigns and focus lists based on sales report analysis
- Provide comprehensive sales support to the Investor Relations team, including meeting preparation, creation and distribution of materials, calendar coordination, CRM management, and organization of digital files
- Assist in the development of custom marketing materials and support various firm-wide projects and initiatives
- Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with new and existing financial advisors
- Deliver best-in-class client service and respond to product, technical, and competitive inquiries as needed
- Attend select client and prospect meetings, as well as periodic conference calls
- Develop a strong understanding of the firm's business, portfolios, operations, and the broader alternatives industry
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with strong academic record
- 2 years of relevant professional work experience in the financial services industry within a sales-related role; alternatives experience preferred
- FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 or 66 required, or the ability to obtain these licenses upon hire.
