We are partnered with a leading trading team seeking a Fundamental Analyst to sit directly on a live desk and support risk‑taking, event‑driven decision‑making. This role blends company‑level fundamental research with options‑based and semi‑systematic trading strategies, offering meaningful proximity to P&L and real‑time market decisions.
This is not a traditional long‑term equity research role. The focus is on short‑horizon analysis, identifying how information is priced, and translating research into actionable trading inputs.
- Sit directly with traders, contributing to live trading and risk‑taking decisions
- Conduct company‑level and event‑driven fundamental analysis across equities
- Evaluate earnings, corporate actions, macro developments, and idiosyncratic events
- Overlay fundamental insights with options‑driven and volatility‑aware frameworks
- Help assess probabilistic outcomes, scenarios, and market expectations
- Partner closely with traders to refine positioning, timing, and structure
- Monitor news flow and market dynamics in real time and adjust views accordingly
- Contribute to the ongoing development of repeatable, semi‑systematic processes
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Background in trading‑adjacent research, market making, prop trading, or trading‑oriented hedge funds
- Strong understanding of equity fundamentals with the ability to apply them over short time horizons
- Experience or comfort with single‑stock options, volatility, or event‑driven trading
- Ability to operate in fast‑paced, high‑information environments
- Clear communicator who can work closely with traders and adapt views quickly
- Intellectual curiosity and comfort with uncertainty and incomplete information
