Cost Accountant Responsibilities
- Manage and analyze daily work orders, partnering with operations to resolve discrepancies and improve accuracy
- Maintain accurate product costing, including inventory valuation and general ledger alignment
- Perform variance analysis (including PPV) and provide insights into cost drivers and performance
- Lead monthly close activities related to cost accounting, including journal entries and P&L support
- Oversee standard cost updates, project cost tracking, and reporting to support leadership decision-making
Cost Accountant Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3-5 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience
