Corporate Development Manager (Remote)

A publicly traded, global industrials and manufacturing organization is seeking a Corporate Development Manager to support its growth strategy through mergers & acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and corporate investments. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership in a highly visible capacity, contributing to transformative initiatives across a diversified portfolio of businesses.
Deal Origination
* Perform industry research and identify potential acquisition targets
* Build and maintain target lists aligned with the Sector businesses and the Group Corporate Development team
* Approach owners of agreed targets and build trusted relationships, to position Diploma as a buyer of choice
* Maintain documentation and reporting related to corporate development activities
Deal Execution
* Support the evaluation and execution of M&A transactions, conducting financial modeling and valuation analyses
* Track deal progress and ensure timelines and deliverables are met
* Coordinate internal and external parties during transaction execution
* Prepare investment and cases and presentations for senior leadership
Stakeholder Collaboration
* Work with the Corporate Development team and our businesses to define the pipelines, manage the targets and deliver smooth transaction processes.
* Work closely with internal teams and co-ordinate as necessary (Finance, Legal, Strategy, HR, Operations) during transaction processes, ensuring a good line of communication between all parties.
* Liaise with external stakeholders including investment banks, advisors, and consultants
* Prepare materials for Executive team meetings and senior leadership discussions.
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
* 6-7 years experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or corporate development
* Experience working on M&A transactions (in both origination and execution)
* Planning and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
* Great people skills, able to influence and create buy in
* Financial modeling and valuation skills
* Commercial acumen

* Able to work accurately and at pace
* Comfortable with regular travel across the US and occasionally to Europe

Salary : $140,000 - $170,000
