Overview
A rapidly growing firm in the wealth management space is seeking a Corporate Development Vice President to join its M&A team in New York. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in sourcing, evaluating, and executing acquisitions within a highly fragmented and active market.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end M&A execution, including financial analysis, valuation, and deal structuring
- Identify and evaluate acquisition targets within the independent RIA (Registered Investment Advisor) landscape
- Contribute to origination efforts through market mapping, outreach, and relationship development
- Manage a pipeline of active opportunities and assist in advancing deals from initial contact through close
- Conduct industry research and leverage public filings (including SEC Form ADV) to identify and assess targets
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and senior leadership on strategic growth initiatives
Candidate Profile
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate development, or a related M&A environment
- Strong financial modeling and transaction execution skills
- Prior exposure to FIG, wealth management, or asset management is a plus
- Interest in origination and building relationships with potential acquisition targets
- Track record of success within a team-oriented environment and demonstrated career progression
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills
