Job Description
A major North American energy infrastructure operator is seeking an experienced Business Development Representative to support the origination and development of large‑scale natural gas infrastructure projects across the United States. This role plays a key part in identifying new commercial opportunities, advancing growth‑focused projects, and coordinating both internal and external stakeholders. The position offers high visibility, strong leadership interaction, and the opportunity to influence long‑term infrastructure strategy.
Responsibilities
- Originate, develop, and implement business development strategies
- Identify prospects, lead negotiations, and prepare commercial agreements
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including facilities planning, project development, engineering, environmental, land, legal, accounting, marketing, and regulatory
- Define scopes of work, assess project risks, and support cost estimation
- Present project opportunities through internal approval and capital allocation processes
- Conduct and participate in negotiations and assist in drafting commercial agreements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, marketing, finance, or a related field
- 10 years of energy industry experience with a focus on new business development
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret technical, financial, legal, contractual, marketing, and regulatory factors
- Ability to influence without authority and collaborate effectively across diverse groups
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects
- Experience leading cross‑functional project teams
- Willingness to travel domestically as required
Salary : $180,000 - $220,000
