Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
Compensation
The base salary compensation range being offer for this role is $68,000 - $97,200 USD per year. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus.

Key Accountabilities Include
- Works to maintain full compliance and adherence with US Customs Brokerage Regulations.
- Monitors and ensures team performance is in line with SEKO’s compliance policy and department goals.
- Provides clear instruction to team to ensure timely and orderly file flow including release, billing, and auditing.
- Perform routine check ins and ensures system compliance and compatibility
- Assists in managing the brokerage department staff, including overall responsibility for performance management, career development and disciplinary action.
- Ensures that all direct reports receive training in Import procedures.
- Monitors entry numbers and checks digit verification
- Expected to uphold SEKO’s Core Values.
- Must comply with SEKO’s C-TPAT Security Profile.
- Participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace. Comply with instructions given for their own safety and health and that of others, in adhering to safe work procedures. Co-operate with management in its fulfilment of its legislative obligations.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Knowledge in US Customs and International trade, with a basic understanding of customs valuation, classification, compliance/audit and trade programs.
- Knowledge in any/all of the following areas: USMCA, classification, value, marking, customs audits, compliance & opportunity reviews, etc.
- Client service orientation, initiative, responsiveness
- Team oriented and comfortable in either a leadership or team leader role
- Complete working knowledge of all US Customs Compliance Rules and Regulations.
- Knowledge of related trade legislation, rules, and regulations.
- Experience in implementing compliance processes.
- Experience with Cargowise1 preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must.
- Some working knowledge of Foreign Trade Zones, bonded warehouses, inbond procedures.
- Leadership and supervisory experience.
- US Customs Brokers License or Certified Customs Specialist preferred
