Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Attorney to join our law firm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of law, including but not limited to collections, probate and trust planning and administration, personal injury, civil litigation, environmental law, and commercial real estate. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, legal research capabilities, and the ability to draft legal documents effectively. The Attorney will be responsible for providing legal advice, representing clients in court, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The successful candidate will have unlimited upside and growth potential with the firm for the south central Ohio region.
Duties
- Provide legal counsel to clients on a variety of legal matters.
- Represent clients in litigation and negotiate settlements on their behalf.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation.
- Draft legal documents including contracts, wills, trusts, and pleadings with precision and clarity.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas .
- Collaborate with other attorneys and paralegals / legal staff within the firm to ensure comprehensive client representation.
- Manage case files efficiently while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Ohio bar.
- Proven experience of five years or more in the relevant areas of law and/or civil litigation.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful outcomes in client representation.
- Proficient in legal research methodologies and tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting.
