Barback – Job Description

The Barback supports bar operations at SEIA by ensuring bartenders are fully equipped to deliver precise, timely, and elevated beverage service. This role focuses on stocking, organization, cleanliness, and behind-the-bar support while developing product knowledge and bar fundamentals in a high-standard environment.

Your Responsibilities:

•           Support bartenders by maintaining stocked, organized, and service-ready bar stations throughout service.

•           Replenish ice, glassware, garnishes, mixers, spirits, and other bar supplies as needed.

•           Assist with bar setup and breakdown, including mise en place, restocking, and end-of-shift organization.

•           Maintain cleanliness of bar areas, tools, equipment, and surrounding guest-facing spaces during service.

•           Collect and properly handle glassware, barware, and waste in accordance with sanitation standards.

•           Monitor supply levels and communicate restocking needs to bartenders or bar leadership.

•           Support beverage service flow by assisting with drink delivery and pickup when appropriate.

•           Uphold all safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.

•           Participate in training and education to build product knowledge and bar skills.

Your Qualifications:

•           Previous experience in a restaurant or bar environment preferred, but not required.

•           Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.

•           Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced service environment.

•           Ability to take direction and work collaboratively as part of a bar team.

•           Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

•           Interest in hospitality, beverage service, and professional growth.
