Job Summary:

The District Sales Manager is responsible for executing regional sales strategies, developing and supporting the dealer network, and driving revenue growth within an assigned geographic territory. This role serves as the primary business partner for dealers by providing sales support, product expertise, business development, and operational guidance. The position identifies new market opportunities, recruits qualified dealers, analyzes territory performance, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of sales initiatives and an exceptional dealer experience.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute district sales strategies that align with corporate sales objectives, market priorities, and business growth initiatives.
  • Manage an assigned dealer network by serving as the primary point of contact for sales support, business development, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with dealers through regular communication, business reviews, and proactive account management.
  • Conduct a minimum of 24 in-person dealer visits each month to strengthen partnerships, evaluate business performance, provide product support, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Identify, recruit, and onboard qualified dealers to expand market coverage within the assigned territory.
  • Evaluate prospective dealer applications and recommend approval based on company standards, market strategy, and business potential.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales revenue, wholesale, and market development objectives.
  • Monitor territory sales performance, identify performance gaps, and develop action plans to improve dealer sales and territory growth.
  • Provide dealers with product knowledge, pricing guidance, promotional program information, merchandising recommendations, and sales support.
  • Respond to dealer inquiries regarding products, pricing, promotions, inventory availability, and sales programs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Analyze market conditions, competitive activity, customer demand, and dealer performance to identify opportunities and business risks.
  • Collect market intelligence during dealer visits and communicate actionable insights to Sales leadership, Marketing, Product Management, and other business partners.
  • Prepare and present recurring territory reports summarizing sales performance, dealer activity, pipeline development, competitive intelligence, and business opportunities.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product Management, Operations, Customer Service, Finance, and Supply Chain to support product launches, promotional campaigns, dealer programs, and operational initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, pipeline information, and territory updates within CRM and other business systems.
  • Represent the company at dealer meetings, trade shows, customer events, and industry functions to strengthen brand presence and support business development.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, dealer agreements, pricing policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities, but provides functional leadership and business guidance to dealer partners within the assigned territory and may lead cross-functional initiatives supporting regional sales objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience in field sales, dealer development, account management, or territory management.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in territory sales, dealer sales, account management, business development, or channel sales, preferably in eMobility, consumer electronics, or powersports.
  • Experience managing dealer or distributor networks.
  • Demonstrated success achieving sales quotas and territory growth objectives.
  • Strong understanding of consultative selling, dealer development, and channel management.
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and business development skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales reports, market trends, and dealer performance metrics.
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales reporting tools.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory, including overnight travel as required.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Strategic thinker with a high degree of ownership, execution capability, and a results-oriented approach.
  • Experience working in a multinational company within an international team is a plus.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a plus.

Physical Demands:

This position requires frequent travel throughout the assigned territory, including prolonged periods of driving, standing, walking, and presenting products during dealer visits and events. The role requires regular use of a computer, mobile devices, and standard office equipment. Occasional lifting of promotional materials or product displays up to 40 pounds may be required.
