What are the responsibilities and job description for the NDI Technician position at SEGULA Technologies?
Perform Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI/NDT) of materials, components, and systems without causing damage.
Use NDT methods including Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Liquid Penetrant (PT), Magnetic Particle (MT), Eddy Current (ET), Radiography (RT), Thermography, and Shearography.
Verify parts and processes comply with customer engineering requirements, specifications, codes, and standards.
Level II: Set up and standardize NDI equipment; process parts; interpret and evaluate indications for acceptance/rejection; document inspection results.
Establish inspection techniques using approved procedures or work instructions.
Perform equipment/system performance checks according to applicable standards.
Provide guidance and supervision to NDT trainees.
Conduct audit surveillance of NDI processes and document non-conformances.
Level III: Interpret applicable codes, standards, specifications, and contractual requirements.
Assume technical responsibility for NDT facilities, equipment, and personnel.
Prepare, verify, and approve NDT procedures and work instructions.
Train, examine, and certify NDT personnel.
Conduct NDT process audits and manage/document non-conformances.
4 years of experience
Ultrasonic Testing Level 1 certification and 40 hours of formal UT Level 1 training
Ultrasonic Testing Level 2 certification and 40 hours of formal UT Level 2 training
Proof of 800 hours of Ultrasonic Testing OJT
NAS 410 certification
