Job Description
- Assemble, install, seal, rig, inspect, and complete precision and structural/system components based on drawings, specifications, and procedures
- Perform functional testing and ensure proper fit, form, and function of assemblies and components
- Obtain required information from prints, charts, sketches, work instructions, and verbal/electronic sources
- Apply shop mathematics and use precision measuring and testing instruments
- Use tooling to assemble components into sub-assemblies or final products
- Verify all work meets instructions and engineering/process specifications; identify and report discrepancies
- Ensure equipment and tools are properly certified according to procedures
- Perform routine minor machine maintenance (e.g., replacing filters, bulbs, maintaining lubrication/coolant levels)
- Move products within the manufacturing area using assigned equipment and complete required transaction records
- Work within established schedules and deadlines
- Support continuous workflow by training and assisting team members across levels
- Assist in training assembly personnel in assembly, installation, and inspection techniques
- Cross-train in inspection and achieve SIA qualification
- Set up and operate conventional and/or CNC equipment (less than 3-axis simultaneous movement) and fastening equipment
- Perform specialized processes (e.g., drivematic operations)
- Assembly/Installation of structures
- Sealing (including integral fuel cell sealing)
- Sub-assembly work
- Door assembly/installation
- Precision bench assembly
- Pressure and vacuum testing
- 2-4 years of experience as aircraft assembler
- Open to temporary contract
- Flexible to work any shift
