- Valid Texas teacher's certificate
- Teacher Certification at the appropriate level of assignment
- Must hold valid ESL/ Bilingual certification or obtain ESL certification by April of the school year in which you are hired
- Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university, and/or the required years of work experience to attain certification
- Strong knowledge of implementation of Sheltered Instruction practices

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth in compliance with federal, state, and district regulations and policies. The ESL Teacher will provide best practices in the form of sheltered learning to make content comprehensible.
