Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols at all times
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on dish presentation and ingredient selection
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper food handling techniques are followed to prevent contamination
- Support kitchen operations during busy service hours, efficiently managing multiple orders simultaneously
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders and excellent customer service
- Participate in catering events or special functions as needed, contributing to the overall success of the culinary team
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings; dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
