Role Description
We are seeking an Entry-Level Accountant to join our in-office team in Santa Cruz, CA. This is a full-time, on-site position focused on tax preparation and foundational accounting tasks. The role involves preparing tax returns (1040, 1120S, 1065, and 1120) under the guidance of senior accountants, performing basic accounting duties, and supporting clients with accurate and timely deliverables. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong aptitude for memorizing tax rules and regulations.
- Solid arithmetic skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work overtime during peak season (~20 hours per week)
- Comfortable with computers and software
- No prior professional experience required, but a demonstrated ability to learn quickly and handle complex tasks is essential.
- Team-oriented mindset with a preference for candidates who have some track record of success in a fast paced environment (e.g. sports or other extracurricular activities) as this aligns with our collaborative, competitive culture.
- Ability to focus on work without bringing political or distracting influences into the workplace.
