Segal McCambridge is expanding its Detroit (Southfield) office and seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our dynamic insurance defense and litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants substantive responsibility, hands-on courtroom experience, and the chance to grow within a respected, fast-moving team.
What You’ll Do
As an Associate Attorney at Segal McCambridge, you will:
- Handle Michigan No-Fault (PIP), automobile negligence, trucking, and premises liability matters
- Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution
- Conduct discovery, take and defend depositions, draft motions and briefs
- Represent clients in court appearances, case evaluations, and mediations
- Work directly with senior attorneys and clients for strategic case development
- Develop litigation skills in a supportive, team-oriented environment
What We’re Looking For
- Licensed to practice law in Michigan (or eligibility for admission)
- Strong research, writing, and organizational skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to manage deadlines
- Interest or experience in insurance defense, PIP, trucking, or general liability litigation
- A proactive, motivated, and detail-oriented mindset
- Newer attorneys with litigation internships, clerkships, or clinical experience are highly encouraged to apply.
