This role is based on-site in San Diego, CA  

 

The Role  

Digital Strategist is a data-driven marketing role focused on creating compelling marketing content and B2B campaigns that align digital strategy and development to Seer’s commercial goals from discovery through delivery. This role will be responsible for creating a customer-centric Seer story via digital content, that resonates with our target audiences, and drives higher search visibility and customer/prospect engagement resulting in more qualified leads for Sales. 

Responsibilities & Goals 

Digital Content Strategy and Management 

  • Establish customer-centric pillars aligned to Seer value propositions to guide the content development strategy and to tell the Seer story consistently. 
     
  • Create on-going new content recommendations across a variety of formats (video, articles, infographics, reports, white papers, etc.), based on industry trends, performance insights, business objectives, and SEO inputs. 
  • Responsible for leading digital editorial meeting and roadmap/calendar to give internal stakeholders visibility to upcoming digital content and increase coordination, collaboration, and consistency across paid and owned digital channels. 
  • Coordinate drafting and creation of derivative and net new digital content with key collaborators throughout the organization; could require writing content, as needed. 
  • Implement and document a consistent tagging process to syndicate content strategically on the website, based on pages, topics, and solutions. 
  • Manage digital content publishing process by streamlining and documenting each step to publication; includes asset management, tagging, and appropriate archiving. 
     

Digital Campaign Strategy and Execution 

  • Lead the development and execution of B2B multi-channel marketing programs in key regions to achieve new marketing prospects and lead gen targets for sales. 
     
  • Cross-functional collaboration to define digital programs and goals; then lead content development, asset production, and reporting with tradeshow, product, brand, and software marketing leads.  
     
  • Create ad content and build paid media campaigns within ad platforms (Google Ads - Search, Display, YouTube; and LinkedIn Ads).  
     
  • Lead quarterly paid/owned performance meeting and summary report by analyzing content performance and campaign KPIs across channels. Annual – EOY – report out includes optimization recommendations, based on data/actionable insights, and next year’s content roadmap.
  • Develop and manage marketing automation and lead nurture programs in Pardot/Salesforce to increase visibility, traffic, and drive higher prospect engagement on Seer.bio resulting in more warm leads for sales.

Website and SEO performance 

  • Lead SEO efforts, develop web content strategy, optimize page performance, and make content recommendations to improve engagement and organic traffic to the website.
  • Manage SEO agency partner.  
  • Audit the existing content on Seer.bio and social channels for brand voice, relevance, and optimization.  
  • Research industry search trends and competitors to identify content gaps and keyword gaps.
  • Manage web content update requests in CMS and/or with web dev partner. 
  • Create Seer guidelines for on-page SEO copywriting, SEO metadata, and open graph metadata that can be shared with internal and external content creators.  
  • Proficient in web content management tools (e.g. WordPress or Prismic). 
  • Basic HTML and CSS coding experience.


Background & Qualifications  

  • 9 years' experience, preferably in a B2B space, global experience a plus.  
  • 4 years' experience working directly with Pardot and Salesforce. Marketing Cloud experience is a plus.  
  • Understanding how digital touchpoints (social media, paid campaigns, emails, etc.) feed a lead gen pipeline, and proven experience developing campaigns/content that moves a buyer through the marketing funnel.  
  • Ability to pull together, organize, and standardize marketing content creation, asset production, taxonomy, multi-channel execution, and performance reporting/optimization.  
  • Leading through influence as a subject matter expert on all things digital content and marketing. 
  • Articulate communication skills and storytelling ability with the emotional intelligence to adjust your style based upon your audience. 
  • Autonomous, proactive individual who can develop trusted relationships in a cross-functional organization. 
  • Thrives in a dynamic, agile work environment. 
  • Experience at an enterprise level – not for just one phase of the customer journey, product, and/or campaign – but across the entire customer journey and digital ecosystem.
