The Position 


The purpose of this role is to work directly with customers to understand their subsurface data management challenges and deliver solutions that add measurable value to their business. The Project Geologist, OpenGround supports customers across the full lifecycle, from pre-purchase and trial through to advanced usage, providing technical support, training, integration guidance, and project assistance.

In this role, you will act as a trusted technical advisor, ensuring customers feel confident and supported in their use of OpenGround. Combining investigation and problem solving, you will provide sales support, technical expertise, and workflow guidance across the full customer lifecycle.

Working as part of Seequent’s global Technical Services organization, you will collaborate across regions while developing deep expertise in OpenGround workflows, including data management, validation, cloud collaboration, and integration with Seequent’s civil, environmental, and mining solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: 


·         Champion OpenGround platform through training and enablement for both customers and internal teams across commercial, technical, and support functions.

·         Partner with Account Managers and Inside Sales to advance opportunities by delivering demonstrations, understanding customer workflows and data challenges, supporting trials and proof-of-value activities, and developing onboarding and implementation plans.

·         Deliver remote and in-person support including troubleshooting, data reviews, and workflow optimization, while sharing expert knowledge of OpenGround workflows, best practices, and integrations with Seequent solutions such as Leapfrog Works, GeoStudio, PLAXIS, and Central.

·         Proactively engage customers through health checks, training sessions, workshops, onboarding, and upgrade support to promote adoption of new functionality and improve overall outcomes

·         Ensure accurate and current CRM records, including usage health, training history, upgrades, and key contacts, while monitoring customer satisfaction and long-term account health.

·         Share feedback, enhancement requests, and market insights with product management and development teams to influence ongoing improvements.

·         Collaborate with global Technical Services colleagues to ensure consistent service delivery and shared learning across regions.


To be successful in this role, you should have: 


·         Experience with Seequent solutions, particularly OpenGround, is a strong asset.

·         A university degree in Geoscience, Civil, Environmental, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline (BSc or MSc).

·         Minimum 3 years of industry experience in geological, civil, environmental, or geotechnical sectors.

·         Demonstrated experience in subsurface data management, databases, and data quality workflows.

·         Experience delivering training, technical presentations, or customer enablement.

·         A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving ability.

·         Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a distributed team.

·         Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workload in a hybrid or remote environment.

·         Fluency in English required, with French or Spanish considered an asset.

Additional Information


This is a hybrid role based in our Denver, CO office with minimum of three days per week. Occasional business travel of up to 10 percent may be required.
