What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fee for Service Teacher of the Deaf (TOD) position at SEEM Collaborative?
SEEM Collaborative is seeking to fill the position of fee-for-service Teacher of the Deaf - Aural/Oral (Listening and Spoken Language). The position is itinerant and provides services to students in our 11-member districts and occasionally at SEEM programs. Students range in age from preschool through age 22.
Qualifications: The preferred candidate will possess DESE licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf - Aural/Oral. Bachelors degree required, masters degree preferred. The candidate should have knowledge and experience in language, speech, and auditory development of children with hearing loss, as well as experience with hearing aids, cochlear implants, and FM systems.
Responsibilities:
- writing IEP goals/objectives
- attending and participating in IEP/504 meetings
- providing direct service to students
- consultation to school and classroom-based staff
- Additional responsibilities may include in-service training for educational teams.
Employment is contingent upon passing a SAFIS fingerprint and CORI screening.
