Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our parts warehouse team. In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring that orders are fulfilled promptly and stock levels are maintained precisely. Your expertise in warehouse management systems, packaging, and equipment will drive smooth logistics operations and support our commitment to exceptional customer service. This full-time position (Monday – Friday 7am – 5pm) offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where your skills directly impact operational success.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify inbound shipments against purchase orders using RF scanners and warehouse management software systems
- Load and unload trucks safely using forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
- Prepare outgoing shipments by accurately picking, packing, and labeling products for delivery or transfer
- Maintain organized stock areas through effective stocking, order picking, and inventory management practices aligned with warehouse distribution standards
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, update records, and facilitate order fulfillment processes
- Ensure proper packaging of products to prevent damage during transit while adhering to safety guidelines
- Conduct regular stock counts and assist with cycle counts to support accurate inventory records
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and stock management
- Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners safely and efficiently; forklift certification is preferred
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes including order picking, packing, loading & unloading procedures
- Basic math skills for inventory calculations and measurement tasks
- Experience working in e-commerce environments or with order picker equipment is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping and inventory control
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining safety standards
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Forklift & Shipping & Receiving Experience preferred
