Part-Time or Full-Time Caregiver / Aide Needed
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced caregiver to support an elderly couple in their home.
About the Role:
You will be assisting an elderly man with Parkinson’s disease and a woman currently navigating breast cancer. This role requires both physical capability and emotional intelligence, with a focus on maintaining dignity, comfort, and consistency in their daily lives.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting with mobility and occasional help with dressing (Parkinson’s care experience required)
- Providing general caregiving support for both individuals
- Preparing meals (must enjoy cooking)
- Light housekeeping and maintaining a tidy home environment. we have a cleaning team 1/week, but daily cleaning and the occasional load of laundry will need to be done
- Managing daily tasks such as emptying urinals, taking out the trash,
- Coordinating and managing medical appointments and calendars
- Driving to and from doctor’s appointments and picking up prescriptions
- Assisting with care of two small, very loving dogs
Requirements:
- Prior experience caring for Parkinson’s patients
- Comfortable supporting individuals with serious health conditions
- Ability to lift at least 30 lbs
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Organized, dependable, and proactive
- Dog-friendly and comfortable with light pet care
Schedule:
- Ideal hours: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM (but flexible for the right fit with opportunity for more if desired)
