Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Nurse Practitioner role based in North Miami, FL. The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up for diverse patient populations in collaboration with physicians and other clinicians. Daily responsibilities include performing physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications within scope of practice, and documenting care in the electronic health record. The role also involves patient and family education on diagnoses, medications, and lifestyle modifications, as well as coordination of care with specialists, nursing staff, and support services. The Nurse Practitioner will participate in quality improvement initiatives, adhere to clinical protocols and regulatory requirements, and contribute to a culture of safety, respect, and continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida, with appropriate national certification (e.g., FNP, AGNP, PNP, or relevant specialty).
- Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing Practice).
- Demonstrated clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and evidence-based treatment skills in an outpatient or acute care setting.
- Proficiency with electronic health records, clinical documentation, and basic computer applications.
- Strong communication, patient education, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Commitment to ethical practice, cultural humility, and serving diverse patient populations.
- CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS or PALS preferred, depending on patient population.
- Previous Nurse Practitioner experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations may be considered.
