Project Engineer – Civil Infrastructure
A small, close-knit consulting firm (approximately 20–25 staff) is seeking a motivated Project Engineer who enjoys working in a collaborative environment. This role is ideal for someone who wants broad exposure to diverse civil engineering projects and prefers the culture of a smaller organization. This team regularly collaborates and shares ideas, creating an environment where you can learn from experienced staff while also taking ownership of your own design work. Project types vary widely and may include municipal roadway improvements, utility design, stormwater management, and private development projects. Experience with municipal street, wastewater, or sanitary district work is especially valuable.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the planning, design, and implementation of civil and site development projects.
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and summaries for project teams and clients.
Conduct field visits and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met.
Assist with regulatory compliance and permitting processes.
Communicate project updates effectively with managers, clients, and internal teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (ABET-accredited).
Experience in consulting, municipal, or land development projects.
Knowledge of stormwater design, hydraulics, or hydrology is a plus.
EIT certification or ability to obtain within 1 year; interest in PE licensure encouraged.
Proficiency with design and modeling software (e.g., Civil 3D, HydroCAD, AutoCAD).
Valid driver's license and legal authorization to work in the U.S.
